About MS FoodNetwork

Mission Statement Our mission is to relieve poverty-related hunger in our service area by distributing donated and purchased food and grocery products through a network of member churches and non-profit organizations. We provide nutrition education to our needy clients. We also emphasize advocacy and related needs. What is the Mississippi Food Network? The Mississippi Food Network is the only food bank in Mississippi. We are a member of Feeding America, formerly America’s Second Harvest, the nation’s largest charitable hunger relief organization that is made up of more than 200 member food banks and distributes nearly two billion pounds of donated food and grocery products annually. With the assistance of our member agencies we distribute donated and purchased food and other grocery products that can be used to help feed the hungry. We also provide nutrition education to our agencies and clients and emphasize advocacy and related needs.
